Fleetwin- Thanks for the lead for 9.9/15 boring service by Ed Runne. I would like his phone # too.

Always good to have a plan B, especially when you don’t have one. 🙂

        Dave,
Go to a Mercury outboard dealer as many Merc’s have blind jugs. They will know where to send you.

The motor in question is not a true “blind cylinder” (no cylinder head). But it does have obstructions at the bottom of the bore, as the majority of outboards do. Should be an easy job for anybody that bores outboards. A machine shop could even do it on their Bridgeport.

I live in Cleveland Ohio. On Craigslist for Cleveland Ohio under the boat category this guy has an add. Outboard motors bored and honed $36 (Louisville Kentucky ). Never had dealings with him but looks like he may be of interest to you. Regards Bill 9071202e9544308680d2149ca5b8b7a4@sale.craigslist.org
