Do these help? I cut the insulation back a ways to allow the wire to slip under the coil without hitting the stator plate. I then slid the entire coil inside a stub of bicycle inner tube material to insulate it. Coil throws a good spark!

Not nearly as hard as a KF5, bottom seal aim the seal lips DOWN & replace the top too. Ground one of the hi volt lugs for super fire,

I’m surprised that the inner-tube rubber is adequate to prevent arcing to the mag-plate. Interesting job.

So I’m curious. The thread seemed to end. Did the MFR-61689 coils actually work after the motor was reassembled?

I believe they are just $25 for the single output.

Hi Destroyer of ur GOLF… I agree with Chinewalker using a Bike INNER-tube ((* low dielectric ))… If total frustration overwhelms , or as an option. Convert the SKINTILLA to Phelon. Look for parts on E-PREY , post wanted ad’s Here, ___ start now, repeat ___ until the suggested option parts are acquired !! sign me ‘Been There’.

                    Re. the ebay coils
I cut a bit out of the base plate to allow the solder spot post some room, ran an extension piece of wire around to the bottom then connected the coil wire, sleeved the whole lot with some large dia heat shrink. Got good spark
