The last American opposed twin outboard motor may be the Lauson twin from 1956.

I believe Honda made an opposed twin up to about 1970? I’d like to find one….I don’t think they were imported to North America.

        I don’t know,
The first GB-30 and the later GB-40 are from the 60ties
and the models from the 70ties, B-75 and B-100
        are no opposed twins
        😉
or do I miss a model ? don’t think so at this moment.
        .

I gather it’s a B45 opposed twin according to the attachment. It’s after the GB models and before the parallel twins.

Yep, I bend and surrender 😮
Good catch, didn’t know about its existence
was available in 1971 together with the B-75
it was very hard to pick some info from the net, I guess that the B-75 was much more popular then the B-45.

OK, now for my suspicion, was the B45 opposed twin 2 stroke? I don’t see anything that looks like valves in the pictures.

            .
            It is a 4-stroke
see the article I found about the history and 50 year anniversary of Honda
the yellow marked text say 4-stroke
not my language but with the translation tool on Google it worked to understand

I think you are right that the opposed twin Honda is 4 stroke, I found this too, searching for the 50th Anniversary. It must have a flat head with valves in the block I guess. Honda typically used overhead valves or overhead cam but the pictures of the opposed twin don’t really show that. The red 7.5 looks interesting too.
