KG4H would fit your look, the Mark 20 and 25 and KH7 would be most practical, 60j would look cool but unless your 12 you would be disappointed in performance. KG7 or KF7 would fit your look but may bite you with no reverse or neutral. Last the KF5 would be a bad idea, it would also be slow with no reverse or neutral.

A Mark 25 would be a pretty practical motor, has gear shift and likely has Phelon ignition, has a fuel pump and uses a regular tank in the boat.

KF5 and 60J are to small.
          Kg4 is minimal
          KF7 to slow
          kg7 OK
KH7 OK and shift but the mark 20 is the same except no top tank.
that leaves the mark 25 I like it best for your situation. best ignition and least amount of work to keep it up and going. would be my choice

Yes, you would have direct drive only. Crank and go, ready or not!! 😮

                      Is the Mercury 60j expensive?

Unless you weigh 80 lbs. and the boat is 70 lbs., skip the 60J. It’s a kids motor.

                        Me too!
Mark 25 or a 250 slanter is my choice!
