Cool!  Looks and sounds great.  The only thing that holds those darn carb needle bushing in place is tightening the packing nut/washers against it.  Once you loosen the packing nut, the darn bushing usually starts rotating again.

Unfortunately bad news and I need some more help!  We headed out to the water today.  Here is what happened since I posted the video:

        • In the trashcan I idled the motor for about 10 minutes.  Sounded great.  Seamed like no issues.  Turned it off twice and waited a while to restart.  No problems whatsoever.
        • Went to the water.  Motor started in a snap.  Again, let the motor idle for some time.  Cut it, then started again.  Perfect.
        • Got out on the water and did some laps close to shore.  Other than it going rather slow (due to not yet doing the high speed tuning), everything seemed fine.
        • Had son drive boat while I did the high speed tuning.  Turning it very slowly it started to accelerate and then died.  We were stuck.  Waited and waited.  Tried to start to no avail.  Then got the idea to pull the choke at the motor while son hit the start button (never done that before!) and viola the motor started again.
        • Drove around again to see if the motor would keep going and it did.  So we went in for high speed tune #2.
        • The exact same thing happened.  Motor died just as we were starting to accelerate.
        • Restarted motor using choke like before and took boat back to dock.

I am at a loss here.  Sure seems like the motor is getting flooded or something like it.  The one change I did when I rebuilt the carburetor was a put in a brand spanking new high speed needle.  The one I had looked a bit beat up so replaced it.

        Any suggestion on next steps?

        Many thanks!

        Rich
