Just a quick rev up to see what it would do, I think the shape of the container forced the water away from the back a lot. I backed it off and was working on getting the low idle adjustment down. The water level was at or maybe just under the cavitation plate when I started.

The water pump is in that bulge a couple inches above the cavitation plate and it will not prime unless that bulge is submerged when you start it..
