      those filters have a thread on the bottom that screw into a bridge in the fitting. very thin . it looks like the threads have broken off in the first pics.

            In looking at my photos on my KD4, it appears I used parts from two different KD’s, one had a wobbler pump,
            but I ended up using the Sierra impeller somehow!
            Also looks like I make my own impeller drive bushing last winter. Don’t believe I ever got around to running
            it to see if it worked.
            Other’s have done the retrofit “different than I, so hopefully someone will say how.

              The part number for the vane impeller is M-50-137. Couldn’t find where you have said what your serial number is. According to the info I have, depending on the number you could have a oscillator style impeller. On the first page of your post fifty2One posted pictures with all the part numbers you’ll need.

                        Thanks Guys.
                        Picked up a new to me motor today. 1956 Johnson Javalin, RJE-18. Good compression and spark on both cylinders. Price was right. Free! Electric start but starter missing. 30 hp. Hard to pull with a rope.
