      The cap that was closest to the choke was stuck and impossible to get off. I drilled it out and was able to get it off without damaging the threads. The valve seat on that one was pretty scratched up. I lapped them both using toothpaste and they actually look really good now. However, the carb I was able to find has a larger thread size and won’t fit. Now I am “dead in the water”. I need a cap and spring or another replacement carb. Anyone on this thread have any spare parts?

        I have some caps but for a different carb. I’ll
        get you measurements tomorrow to see if you
        can use them.
        Check with Doug or Matt to see it they can
        provide you with a replacement carb.

              I think the length difference is due to me measuring the height in the gap vs the top of the cap. I think that is exactly the cap I need.

                    OK, PM me your address and I’ll send you the cap with a spring
                    along with some heavy gasket paper so you can make a replacement
                    gasket. I think you’ll find making this gasket an experience to remember.
                    You won’t owe me anything other than to pay it forward when you get
                    the opportunity.
